Today and Yesterday

James
This particular post will be a bit lacking, as I just wanted to get this thing rolling.  At the end of the year, I would like to print off this blog and the art, science, writing blogs as an archive via Blog2Print, as a means of keeping a yearbook.

Yesterday, I spent the day looking for a particular bible download I had found for the boys months ago and can not find it!  Instead, for now, I have settled on Armor of God week.  Our art, which will build on the Geeguides*  art program (via time4learning for us), will include pictures of knights and armor and maybe even their steads.  We will utilize the grid system as a beginning and then try to move onto a new medium.

Perhaps next week, or the next week, we will work on the Fruit of the Spirit for bible study.  Soon James will be moving from time4learning to Monarch from AOP (Alpha Omega Publications).  This is because we had to make an economical choice at the beginning of this school year and we found time4learning.  But that ends at the 8th grade for most of the subjects, and earlier for others.

We are still working on adding music and foreign language to our work week as well.  I am hoping to start with Italian via RosettaStone.  I figure if we can get a basic handle on the language that we can move to the more structured study of the language.

Ok, off to blog in other places.

*Geeguides used to be available online directly, now it seems it may only available through formal outlets, ie school curriculums.
